A mixed race couple living as expatriates in Singapore are unaware of each other's personalities at a time when they need each other's friendship the most. The husband, Anil, one day leaves behind his tin of cooked lunch. His wife, Flora, begrudgingly follows him to bring him his lunch. Flora ends up finding that her husband at work is not the person he is at home. 'Anil Goes To Work' is about a man who has to uphold the role of 'provider' to his wife even when his job has fallen through, and about a woman's journey from indifference towards her husband to love.
