My Rating:
Run time: 80 min. | USA - California
Grind & Glory follows five young rappers as they pursue the elusive dream of becoming a hip-hop star. Deeply inspiring, the film explores the lives of these young hip-hop hopefuls as they battle their environments, and each other. The filmmakers are there as the five rappers compete in Grind & Glory, an 'American Idol for the streets' contest put on in the Bay Area. The crew is also there in the homes and on the streets as the young emcees let us into their lives, uncovering a world of violence, pain, uncertainty...and hope.
